Glasgow International Airport offers a variety of parking options that are suited to the individual needs of passengers departing from Glasgow. There are also parking facilities when either picking someone up or dropping them off at the airport.

Dropping off / Picking up a Passenger

It is not possible to drive to the front of a terminal, the airport forecourt, to drop someone off at the airport.. Glasgow airport has instead created a new covered area in front of the terminal building. The airport allows you to park the car for a maximum of 10 minutes. If you park your car for more than ten minutes you will be fined according to the extra time parked. If you know that you will be parked for more than 10 minutes it is advisable to park your car in Short Stay Parking.

Short Stay Parking

Glasgow Airport offers Short Stay car parks which are situated in near of the terminal building. These are parks 1, 2, and 3, with park 2 being a multi storey car park. The airport provides security for the car parks and they are monitored by a camera system. Prices for parking at 1 and 3 start at £1.50 for the first 15 minutes up to £11.50 for 12 to 24 hours. For each subsequent day you will be charged £15. For Short Stay Parking 2 which is a multi storey car park the prices start at £1.50 for the first 15 minutes up to £12 for 12 to 24 hours. Each subsequent day will cost £16. The prices are higher for this parking as it is situated closer to the terminal building.  While it is possible to park for more than 48 hours at Short Stay parking, it is advisable that if you expect to park at Glasgow Airport for more than five hours it will be cheaper to park at Long Stay Parking.

Long Stay Parking

When leaving from Glasgow Airport on a holiday or long trip it is advisable to park your car at one of the various Long Stay car parks. As with Short Stay Parking, these car parks are secured by the airport with regular patrols and the presence of a camera system. Each Long Stay car park is provided with a coach service that transports you from the car park to the terminal. These shuttle services are frequent but travel and waiting times will vary per car park. The time required from parking your car to getting to the terminal should not exceed thirty minutes. Do take this transfer time into account when departing from Glasgow.
